Architectural Designer and Artist

 

I currently teach Graphic Communication at the University of New Mexico,           School of Architecture and Planning.  I have attained degrees in Architecture, City Planning & Urban Design, and ABD PhD in American Studies.  I avidly practice

Sketching, Painting, and Design.
The essence of my work in all of these disciplines is common sense, aesthetics, experimentation, adventure, and enjoyment. Through travels, university teaching over three decades, practice in architecture, city planning, mediation, painting, and constant sketching, I fulfilled those essences...but I am still exploring.
Working in many countries, the uniqueness of places, the changing moods, culture and people fed the curiosity to observe, solve problems, and remember the adventure with ink lines and colors.  Many of these unframed drawings and paintings are for sale. Other items on the website are part of my design portfolio.
